Nashville isn’t just for live music fans...it’s also gaining huge attention for the culinary scene. Whether you're a local and haven't been out to what one might call the old-school or bachelor/ette party destinations in awhile, or you're visiting for the first time, there is a lot to see, eat, and do here. If you are out early in the morning you are the minority...Being up late at night is the norm here. You will see lots of people enjoying the nightlife and many places are open for visiting late into the evening because Nashville is another city that never sleeps. The city has such great entertainment and an amazing food scene. This is my first time visiting Nashville so I wanted to create an evening itinerary of some of my favorite spots for an ideal night out or food spots to try for the first time. Here is the ultimate and fun guide to a weekend getaway in Nashville! Stay at the Sheraton Nashville Downtown Hotel: Sheraton Nashville Downtown Hotel is located steps from the city's Arts District in downtown Nashville. The modern look in the lobby area and elegantly redesigned guestrooms make vacation time so relaxing. Amazing time at Grand Ole Opry: The Grand Ole Opry is one of the most famous country music performance must visit spots in America. I had such an amazing experience during my first time visiting the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN. The best part of the night was the performance from Thompson Square and The Riders In The Sky. Visiting the best food spots in Nashville: Prince's Hot Chicken - They're well known for their scrumptious hot chicken. Just give yourself plenty of time in case of a wait (we waited an hour and a half), but the wait is worth it! Also try out some donut bowls with ice cream which is such a delightful treat for summer. But a close second are the cowboy boots which you should be wearing when you are visiting here. If you currently don't own a pair or if you need a new pair you can take advantage of the buy 1 get 2 pairs free sale at "Nashville Cowboy Shop" which is located in downtown Nashville. BBQ dry rub ! We loved the wings and pulled pork sandwich at Martin’s Bar-B-Que. It was so tasty that we went back on the last day to buy some of their famous dry rub to bring home. Good restaurant list on the way to Nashville.
We drove from Chicago to Nashville. During the drive we stopped and ate dinner at a restaurant called Chapati. Chapati is a quintessential Pakistani & Indian restaurant. It also has some vegetarian options on the menu. Try the Goat Karhai, Chili Chicken, and iconic Indian street food Vegan Samosa. You order at a counter then eat in its huge seating area.
