When it comes to summer time, I tend to eat more fruits because there are so many options to choose from. It is especially fantastic when I can be able to grow fruits and vegetables from my garden. This summer I am growing some kale, basil, mint, chile, and some banana chile. Organic produce that comes from the backyard is always best. It is safe and cheap. Don’t you agree?
Now let's talk about kale! Kale is a good source of vitamin K, vitamin C, vitamin A, Manganese, and Copper; an excellent source of vitamin B6, Fiber, Calcium, Potassium, vitamin E, and vitamin B2; and a good source of iron, Magnesium, vitamin B1, omega-3 fats, Phosphorus, Protein, Folate, and vitamin B3. I love to eat it fresh as a salad or stir-fried with olive oil, black pepper & salt, or even added into my smoothies. Recently I found out about a juice brand call Salad Power. It is full of vitamins, low in sugar and great for an on-the-go snack with low calories. Salad Power is made of Kale, Carrot, Spinach, Celery, Cucumber, Tomato and Bell Pepper. I call this small bottle “Super-Food-Juice”. Since I make a smoothie bowl almost every morning. I came up with the idea that I can be able to blend super-food juice with fresh fruits and vegetable to create the bright and fresh summer smoothie bowl. I have a lot of kale from my garden, I use this as the key ingredient. I sometimes also add some spirulina powder to make an even prettier green smoothie. This kale, pineapple, spirulina Salad Power smoothie bowl is packed with a bunch of healthy and nutritious ingredients. It is perfect for your morning routine.
