Happy Friday everyone!
70 degrees, It is unusual in October, we are lucky so far! So Let's celebrate this kind of nice weather with a healthy Creamy raspberry Greek yogurt smoothie. This recipe is easy and quick to make. I love almond. It is healthy, less calorie, high calcium, contains no saturated fat or cholesterol. I use almond milk to be my protein smoothie base. Smoothie is a great way to start my morning. I have two type of smoothie in my pantry ( fruity smoothie or protein smoothie ), which I will talk about how is different in a little bit**. Fruity or protein depend on what type of activity that is on my plan . For gym day or need high energy for my activity. I am going to make the protein smoothie. For a regular day, I pick fruity smoothie.
Here is how I describe it:
- Fruity smoothie: juice base ( carrot juice, beet juice, orange juice, pineapple juice, etc. ). This base goes along with fruits ( of course ), wheat grass powder, acai powder or spirulina powder. - Protein smoothie: milk base ( almond milk, milk, soy milk ). This base goes best with protein powder or peanut powder. This morning I wasn't planning to go to the gym. I wasn't planning to do the extreme activity, but I have some raspberries and some Greek yogurt in the fridge. I don't like to see my food sitting in my fridge for so long. I have to get rid of it. This Creamy raspberry Greek yogurt smoothie recipe is stuffed with tart raspberries, almond, almond milk, creamy Greek yogurt and sweetness from stevia. Note for the recipe: - I am a big fan of fresh food ingredients but if hard to find raspberry. You can substitute frozen raspberries with a fresh one! - For Almond, roasted almond gives a nutty and a depth of flavors to the smoothie. Also, raw almond if you already have in your pantry..... use it ! Enjoy !!!!! Natty
